The MEI1204W and MEI907 are wire bonders designed for ultrasonic, thermosonic, or thermocompression wedge bonding of IC's, hybrids, microwave devices, and laser diodes using gold or aluminum wire from .05 mil (12.5 microns) to 3 mil (76 microns) and ribbon.

The MEI1204W is designed for ultrasonic, thermosonic, or thermocompression wedge bonding of IC's, hybrids, microwave devices, and laser diodes using gold or aluminum wire from .05 mil (12.5 microns) to 3 mil (76 microns) and ribbon. In the manual-Z mode, the MEI1204W is ideal for for difficult applications that demand a high degree of flexibility and low volume repair work. The push button-Z mode provides faster bonding for medium and high volume production. The MEI1204W is available with a wide range of options, permitting it to be configured for almost any possible wedge bonding, tacking, or single point application. When suitably equipped, the MEI1204 can bond ribbon,and heavy wire (up to 8 mil dia.). A deep access (vertical wire feed) option is also available. The MEI1204 is CE approved.

The unique gravity fed/damper controlled bond arm ensures constant impact force. Heavy wire capability to .008 mil available.
